RBIZ – Everywhere I Go

It seems important for most artist to put on for their city. Instinctually it seems built in and once pride kicks in it finds its way into the music. From a big city to a hole in the wall someone somewhere is repping. Brings forth an artist like RBIZ who is one of the early artists to put on for Montana whose scene has probably always been small due to demographics. Some could say that is a challenge others could look at is as being able to reach the people easier. RBIZ has a few projects out but “Everywhere I Go” seems to be his first big project which was released in 2004. One has to wonder what signature sound a city like Missoula could produce. RBIZ may or may not be it but this release shows you what he is capable of.

Shaymlusly Elliterate – If You Can’t Say It, Spell It

Shaymlusly Elliterate is comprised of emcee’s Elliterate, from Seattle, WA, and Shaymlus, from Missoula, MT. Focusing on the lyrical aspect of hip-hop, SE provides a blend of witty metaphors, climatic punchlines, and rapid-fire multiple-syllable rhyming.  In their short amount of time on the scene, SE has already graced the beats of DJ’s from all different subgenre’s of Hip-Hop, stretching across the map from Europe to the Western USA. Their debut mixtape, “Late To Class”, provided production from London DJ Passion Hi-Fi, Seattle, WA producer DJ Bee, and DJ Hashh (of SlopStar) from Missoula, MT. Released on iTunes, Amazon.com and Datpiff.com on Feb. 26th, 2010, “Late To Class” showcased emcee Elliterate’s biting metaphors and story-telling ability (Songs “Portrait”, “NARC”) and Shaymlus’ laid-back, melodic flow (“Lifeline” , “I Got News For You”).

Overtime – In And Out Of The Game

Beating on the walls in his crib, jamming to the sounds of the Eagles, Overtime was born to be a musician. He was born December, 1984 in Bozeman, Montana and grew up in Missoula, Montana. Overtime began working on his first album “Just Released” in March of 2006, with Young Jay Of Nine Side. Wapikiya Records released “Just Released” locally in May of 2007. In summer of 2008, Overtime released his first solo project “Digital Crack Volume 1” which dropped dually with Wapikiya Records and Double Trouble records. Digital Crack Volume 1 is a nineteen track compilation featuring the talents of many hip hop artists of the northwest, including Frodie, Young Jay, Holy Fam, Pallas Athena, Pookie, and others. Both “Just Released” and “Digital Crack Volume 1” were released on the streets and have been distributed from Seattle, Washington to Washington D.C. Currently working with Wapikiya artists and producers Frodie, and D.J. Dice, Overtime recently released his latest solo album “In And Out Of The Game”. It features production from Blaq Santa of Nine Side, Squintz Of Revive Records, and Mindless of Whos Bad Productions.

Koshir – White Girl Diaries

Born in Anchorage, Alaska , Koshir was almost always on the move. He and his family relocated several times when he was a child. By the time he was 18, he had been in legal trouble in Colorado, Alaska and Montana . After nearly a decade of personal upheaval, incarceration and overall turmoil, Koshir made a last ditch effort to turn his life around and make something of himself, as the then 19-year-old enrolled at Mesa State College of Colorado. After 3-months of collegiate life, that’s exactly what happened, as a friend introduced him to the music of rapper Tech N9ne and he found his calling—and simultaneously began paying more attention to making music than going to school.

Shadow Loc – Tha Bang Bang Theory

Shadow Loc is the C.E.O/Founder Of HoggLyfe Entertainment based out of Great Falls, Montana. As an affiliate of the multistate crew “Nine Side” he has released a series of mixtapes entitled “Tha Makin Moves Series” which currently has three volumes to date. A music fan since he can remember Shadow Loc revives West Coast music with his latest release “Tha Bang Bang Theory”. Now in preparation for his new solo album Shadow Loc is currently wrapping up recording on the project which features in house affiliates and Playboy 7 of Doomsday Productions. He has also currently inked a deal with E1 formerly known as Koch Records to distribute the project so it will be available everywhere.
