Mac Wayne – Blind & Battered (Mixtape)

Mac Wayne…the undisputed Ray Charles of rap. 100% blind and 100% raw. From the street to the studio this kid’s got something that can’t be reproduced by anyone else in the game. A gun shot to the head took his sight and in the same instant gave him the ability to see whole songs in his mind (what he calls THISION – Thinking Vision). No Clue – The Beginning (Ntroduction)

Seven Hundred twenty-three syllables in 51.27 seconds. That’s what it took for Seattle’s Ricky Brown Aka No Clue to Break the Guinness Book Of World Records fastest rapper title on January 15th 2005. To become the fastest rapper on the planet, NoClue rapped at a tounge numbing clip of 14.1 syllables per second. That surpassed the 12.5 syllables a second pace set in 1998 by Chicago artist Rebel XD.

Gangsta Nutt – West Coastin

Lanell Jackson p/k/a Gangsta Nutt hails from the High Point Housing Projects on the west side of Seattle. Gangsta Nutt began rhyming at the age of 15. He has been and remains influenced by iconic artist such as the late great Tupac Shakur, Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre. Known as the “Town Vet”, Nutt describes himself as the “scribe of the ghetto”; based upon his true experiences, both personal as well as what he has bared witness to. He has been exposed to all of the various circumstances and conditions of the “ghetto experience”, and became a product of his enviroment, for better or worse. It displays itself in his graphic and often controversial depiction of those experiences. Even though Gangsta Nutt’s “ghetto experience” has seen it’s share of adversity, he says he doesn’t regret any of its negative elements, because it has made him the Man, the Father as well as the MC that he has become… ‘the ghetto made me’, he boasts in one of his many honest and candid depiction of the harsh realities of those experiences; as only Gangsta Nutt can.

Turf Grindaz – Poundin Tha Pavement

Turf Grindaz consists of rappers Cinatra and Brent Ogee both residing out of the Seattle area. These two are not rookies having each dropped a pair of albums before deciding to get together to bring us the “Pounding Tha Pavement” project. As a duo they both have their own styles but complement each other well.  As with any group that is always the first plus, you want to be able to enjoy both artists even though you may favor one over the other.

Downlow – The Time Is Now

Justin Callahan better known as Downlow was born and raised in Spokane Washington (Kane Town).
The name “Downlow” derives from the point at where every artist starts which is ground zero. Downlow realized it took a lot of work and success to get discovered so the name was fitting. Having passion for music at an early age Downlow recalls his early visions of becoming a rapper, “I remember my first songs were made on boom box”.  Downlow is highly motivated and has an ear for great music working with many producers/artist from all over the globe. West Coasta Nostra – Town Bizness

Emerging from Seattle’s Central District and Tuscon, Arizona is a four man group named West Coasta Nostra. The group consists of Jason Terry’s younger brother Omaree A. Johnson aka Dirty O, Rob Lexing aka Rob Rollie, Lanelle Jackson aka Gangsta Nutt and Jack Anderson aka Blue The Young Vet. When asked the definition of the name “West Coasta Nostra”, the group describes how their different neighborhoods are coming together as a family to make the entire West Coast ”our thing”. Dirty O, Rob Rollie and Gangsta Nutt are Seattle natives while Blue The Young Vet originates from Tuscon, where he met Jason Terry through mutual friends while JT was a student at the University of Arizona.
