Music and pro sports kind of go hand in hand especially these days with all the cross promotion between the two. With all the money being made a lot of players even dabble with music starting labels or even trying to become artists themselves. Promotional anthems sometimes are good for just laughs but other times they go for a good cause and in 1992 several Portland Trailblazer players came together to help benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs. The outcome would be a partnership with Z100 and Nike to release a two track promotional tape sold through local stores with a portion of the proceeds benefitting Boys & Girls Clubs in the local Portland area. While the main hit still renown to this day called “Bust A Bucket” featured Dan Reed the players who participated were called “The Slam’n GeezIt Choir” which consisted of Kevin Duckworth, Lamont Strothers, Terry Porter, Jerome Kersey, and Buck Williams. Also part of the choir were actual kids themselves from the club which consisted of Andy Homes, Kiauna Wilson, Tracey Yeggins, and Ebony Morris. The B-Side song continued Blazer Mania with “Blazers Are In The House”!
