Ripynt (Pronounced Repent) is just one of the many new acts providing his own uniqueness to the growing Everett, Washington crop of artists. Once thing is for certain the various artists from the city are eccentric and no set comparisons for their sound can really be made at this point besides the evident genre. After an early solo effort which Ripynt is more likely to forget he polished his craft to drop his first real solo project “Re-Inventing Poetics” which defined him more as an artist. Shortly thereafter Ripynt would release a mixtape called “Start From Scratch” and begin working with in house beat maker/engineer to release “A Mid Summers Day Drive” EP. The release followed heavy on the notion of giving away good free music in chance of building more a base and gaining more fans. Often times a gimmick or image is portrayed throughout an artist’s music but simply put Ripynt’s music is hip hop for the everyday person. True rhymes with thought and the ability to portray a sensible story is an easy way to put it. Two solidified projects under his belt and lots of notable work locally Ripynt has recently released the first volume in a series of projects he titles “On Second Thought”. Features are kept to a minimum with the only feature being go to girl for hooks Latin Rose. Production duties on the project are handled by Shast, Sinic, Aethea, PMO Slim.
