X-Kon The Don OG Freeze – Off Parole 2000

Life is a journey we all have to endure and though people have similarities no one person’s story is the same. Dwayne Parker who was born in Bradenton, Florida was like many other transplants finding him self relocated in the streets of Hilltop Tacoma, Washington. As with many kids being easily influenced by your surroundings came natural for Freeze as he was taught by his stepfather how to hold a gun, sell drugs, as well as commit various other crimes at a young age. Freeze got involved early in the gang life and spent the better part of ten years of his life in and out of prison. By 2000 Freeze had done and seen enough and was drawn into repentance by God in his prison cell. He got on his knees and asked the Lord to come into his heart and change him from his wicked ways and break the curse of crime in his life.

From that day on OG Freeze was no more and the start of what became Bishop Freeze had started. Freeze saw his life turn around and lived by the mottos “Crime To Christ, “Gangs To Gods”, and from “Prison To Praise”. His passion for music and the lord ran deep and to intertwine the two Freeze started Sozo music. The idea is to promote positivity through youth and have them use their gifts and talents to reach thugs, gangsters, hustlers, prostitutes with the gospel of Jesus Christ through music and various other art forms. Bishop Freeze has released several solo albums to date as well as two compilations of various artists entitled “Sozo Soljaz” Volume 1 & 2.

Before turning his life over to complete positivity Freeze recorded an album under the alias X-Kon The Don OG Freeze and released his debut album “Off Parole 2000” on X-Kon Records. The album was one of the few albums to ever come out of Tacoma at the time of its release. The project featured appearances from Kemo, Da Ghetto Baby, Ms Don P, Clet Bone, Dwayne Parker Jr, James Laster, Andrea, BG Demetri, YV Lunicy, 206 Rozita, Reggie Reg, Mutulu Shakur, Tasha, Tonika with production from Big Squeeze, Nudie Henderson, OG Freeze, and Jonathan C.
