Big Rasc from the Stoned Kings was raised in the Rancho San Pedro Housing Projects in San Pedro California. Not a stranger to the drugs and gangs that control these beautiful yet deadly streets, Big Rasc (short for Rascal) paints a vivid musical portrait of his life growing up. “I’ve lost loved ones, friends, and family to these streets”. Says Big Rasc, “but it’s made me who I am today”. Putting his story to music is what sets Rasc apart from a lot of today’s rappers. Having worked with Latin rap Heavyweights such as Baby Bash, Gemini, Lucky Luciano, Grimm, Russell Lee, David Wade amongst others, Big Rasc knows what it takes to make it in this shady industry. “It takes sacrifice and determination to succeed in today’s music scene.” Rasc Said. “I’ve lost it all, fell, got back up, dusted myself off and kept it moving”.

Having just dropped his long anticipated street album under Sugar Boy Entertainment Rasc looks to make an impression on today’s market without watering down his message. “I decided to release this album thru my partner Frankie’s (Pelon) label because he gets what I’m trying to accomplish and understands what it takes.” Now residing in Yakima Washington, not much has changed. Gangs and drugs are still a constant reminder of where Big Rasc comes from and how far he still has to go. “It’s the same as Pedro out here, wherever I go and there’s raza, it’s just like home, so you got to stay on your toes”.
