Elevation 420 – Prior To Eating

Elevation 420 started out with 3 friends(E-DUB, G-U, JV3G’S) coming together to form a group with the focus of making quality Hip-Hop. Based out of Leavenworth a.k.a. L-Town, they would gather after school at G-U’s house to record off a $20 computer mic and with Acoustica Mixcraft. After months of recording random songs, they compiled enough tracks to put out their first effort “Mixin Da Flowz” in 2004.

Since they resided in a town where there was NO Hip Hop scene, they decided to build one by slanging their 1st cd at the Wenatchee Cruisin Night’s that same year. After makin over $250 in that weekend, they realized the valley was feeling their music so they quickly went back to the $20 mic to work on their next project, “Unexplored Territory”. But halfway thru the recording process of their sophomore cd, they decided to do another Wenatchee Valley 1st and put out a mixtape titled “Elevation 420 Presents: How Do U Like Them Apples? The Mixtape” which introduced the valley to G-Loc, Fade, Ace Dawg & M-A-DOUBLE-T as well as showing the diversity Elevation 420 had. The mixtape was released in ‘05 where they hit the Cruisin Nights again to sell this new project. After another successful weekend of money making and being recognized as a factor in the Wenatchee Valley, they continued to work on their sophomore project.

2006 came around and “Unexplored Territory” was released to the streets of the valley. While they continued to work on more tracks, they networked with Sonny Bonoho and landed their 1st performing slot in Seattle for Sonny’s “NorthWest Stand Up!” concert held at the Chop Suey. Coming back to the 509, they stepped their grind up and performed twice at Club Premiere, gaining more local exposure and fans. In 2007 they gathered up their favorite tracks and put together “Elevation 420 Presents: The Vault” , a collection of previous tracks and a couple new ones. This project was available for sale at Hasting’s and helped motivate Elevation to put out their 3rd group album “No Boundaries” in 2008, which was also available for sale at Hasting’s.

Following the local success they kept gaining they stayed recording new tracks for their latest mixtape “Competition Breedz Xcellence” which was given out for promo use in January of 2009. This project showed Elevation’s lyrical and musical growth while it showed their grind to the fullest extent. To date, there have been over 300 copies of this mixtape home-fabricated and given out to fans all around Washington state. Staying heavy on the promotion, they networked with DJ Fresco of FRESCO RADIO and landed two opening gigs for World Famous DJ Mr. Mixx of 2 Live Crew in Yakima and Moses Lake in the same weekend. Continuing to build their performance resume, they opened up for Tech N9ne at the Wenatchee Town Toyota Center. A month later they performed at the Homiez Only Car Show in Yakima and gathered new fans.

Now, rearranging priorities and getting real serious about their passion, the group has slimmed down to the core members, E-Dub & G-U and are currently promoting their 1st “official” album “Prior To Eating” which features Lucky Luciano of Dope House Records, Playa Jay Tee of N2Deep, Neema of Unexpected Arrival, Notes of Dividenz and various other 509 artists. This is the group’s 4th effort and their most anticipated album yet! Now with more shows under their belt, regional exposure and a hustler’s mindset, the new Elevation 420 is ready to keep promoting themselves and to continue making the hits they are known for.
