Taj Anthony Jackson AKA Taj Mahal has enough energy to power a small fleet of motor vehicles. It’s a fuel that burns full-throttle, ignited by the heat of his soulful voice and the power and passion of his performance. Taj Anthony Jackson was born 1980 , where he was raised in the Innercity of Tacoma, Washington. He grew up listening to Jazz, Blues and R&B, but was personally inspired by the rap and hip-hop music from the west coast. He soon developed his own style which is just breathtakingly amazing. “ I write songs where emotions connect, phrases turn and melodies soar. You sing along even though you’ve never heard the tune before” says Taj. As an artist his music comes from life experiences of interludes between real Life issues that affect people from small towns to big cities. Touching people whether young or old, changing negative outlooks by telling you how it is and how it should be. “ Im letting people know life is what you make it” explains Taj Mahal. Rap is a reflection of this creative young man and with a name like Taj Mahal (which means King Of Buildings) it is destined to touch stardom around the globe. In 2009 Taj Mahal hooked up with Mac Dre’s Cousin Duna a.k.a Baby “Mac Dre”,Thizz Northwest & CityHall Records for Taj Mahal’s first Solo Album Titled “Fat Of the Land”. The album features J-Diggs, Messy Mary, C.D. Sane, Silky Saucy Havnot with production from Tryfe, Syko, Jussfresh, Thizznw, Trap Camp, and Beatboxerz.
