The northwest has always been an underdog in the music scene even though cites like Portland & Seattle have brought out its share of successful artists. Imagine being from the Tri-Cities area which is where Hazlum resides with his label Copin Wit Stress Records. Hazlum states “Being from a smaller area which does not all have all the amenities some of the bigger cities have makes your more independent. I feel I am more successful in the sense that I produce, mix and master my own music”. As a young man Hazlum was introduced to various types of music which in turn led him to have creativity to make all types of music. His style can resemble and be described as westcoast, chicano, hardcore, R&B, and even club rap. He has a very versatile style and is very dedicated to his music. Knowing the northwest is underrated Hazlum has the dream for the region to finally be recognized. Hazlum says “I am always open to collaborate with other artists and am ready to showcase to the rest of the world the one of a kind sound that we can make.” Everyday Rain is Hazlums first major project to date and features eleven tracks with features from Tye Low, big Zeus, Blach, AJ, SKJ, Armageddon, B Da Lost Cauze, and many more.
