Born Joseph W. Garcia in Spokane, Washington Craziness always had a passion for music. At the age of seventeen Craziness started his own independent record label Final Cut Records. “In life nothing was ever given too me easily, but my drive and determination to establish myself as a relevant musician has never wavered through the years.” says Craziness. You can say his drive is natural to his heritage (Apache Indian) which at one time in history was one of the fiercest Indian tribes. He applied this drive to his first release with labelmate Lil Danger with their album “Trials & Tribulations”.
Two years later Craziness would release his first solo effort “Motivated By The Money”. Craziness says “My goal has always been to add a layer of new sound to the Hip Hop nation at large and my first solo album was a step towards this. Only a year later Craziness would combine forces with two other local rappers making noise to form the new northwest super group “Street Pharmacists”. They would drop their group album “Urban Sanctuary” which was very well received locally. At this time, I am trying to expand as a rap artist and record executive.
“I’ve sold thousands of albums in the Northwest Region. I’ve worked hard over the years building a solid fan base and successful track record. My mission is to become an accomplished musician paving the way for other up and coming artists.” says Craziness. The first step was a mixtape entitled Twist Tapes which featured some of the new talent Craziness was working with. With the new movement of Final Cut Records they did something most labels dream of doing and released three albums simultaneously. Craizness with his second solo album “Chief Of The Region”, Lil Danger with his first solo album “The Second Supper” & new artist Dami with his first solo album “No Time To Waste”.
Respecting what it takes to thrive in this business Craziness always found time to give back. “Without having major funds and limited resources, I always found ways to give back to the community. For years I’ve worked as the “Urban Music Project Coordinator” at Ethos, a non profit music center in Portland, Oregon for underprivileged kids.” Craziness grew up having to learn things the hard way lacking an influential role model. Craziness says “It was for this reason I enjoy teaching youth who share my similar background.” In acknowledgment of this work he was featured on the front page of “The Oregonian.” Already achieving so much in a short period of time, you can only imagine what Craziness has in store in the years to come. Already working on his third solo album which is due out in 2010 entitled “Running The Region”.
