Juga Hill – Pre-Album Chapter 3: One Way

Born and raised in Seattle, Washington Terry Hill a.k.a Gameboy/80’s Baby/Juga Hill was destined to be a great performer. At an early age being influenced by hip hop icons such as Nas and Snoop Dogg Terry found the inspiration to perform. But, it wasn’t until hearing Tupac’s hit song “Dear Mama” that he penned his first rhyme. After successfully winning over his peers with his new found gift of writing and performing, his elementary school teacher invited him on a mini elementary school tour within the school district to promote anti-violence and drug use. Terry Hill growing up in the inner-city around dope, gangs, and prostitution realized that this was going to be his platform to influence change.

At the age of 15, Terry Hill moved to Atlanta, Georgia to take his music career to the next level. After recording a professional demo and shopping it to reputable record labels such as Def Jam, So So Def, and Slip N’ Slide he felt he had to bring his new passion and experiences back home to Seattle. Since then Terry Hill has successfully performed at dozens of venues, put together and distributed a successful mix-tape, featured on many local projects.

Currently recording a three album series entitled the “Pre-Album”. The Pre-Album Volume 1 is titled “It’s Already A Classic” was released July 1st, 2006 and has sold over 12,000 copies. It features Kube 93’s Eddie Francis and songs like “Rattle In Da Trunk” and “These Streets” have received great reviews. The Pre-Album Volume 2 “Born Leader” highlighted 80’s baby’s versatility and broaden his audience with tracks like “Remember Me” and “Self defense”. The leading singles titled “Knock It Off” and “Doin Da Do” heated up the airwaves both having very catchy chores and easy to memorize verses. The Pre-Album Volume 2 was released in May of 2007.

Now 2009 Terry Hill is back with Pre-album Chapter 3 titled “One Way”. From Gameboy to 80’s Baby we now have Juga Hill. The album features some of the northwest’s best local talent as well as Freeway on the hit single “Mushin”. With over 70,000 units sold to date the road to greatness looks closer with this release.

It’s not an accident that Terry Hill was given his gifts and talents but through his determination, and hard work he will make his mark in the record industry and beyond becoming a positive figure in many communities and a voice of change across the globe.

  3. Bro… I was born and bled in the 206, livin’ in the south right now though… I had a copy of that “Born Leader” joint in the deck the other day and these cats down here in Huntsville, Alabama are eatin’ it up. You should try and hit some of the mid major cities of the south and see what kind of response you would be gettin’ (i.e. Huntsville, AL. memphis, Tn. Shreveport, LA. etc… keep reignin’ on em

  4. Which seems to be the trend from listening you your “One Way” album. I know another local rapper by the name of Justis from auburn that might want to do some tracks with you. If you’re interested let me know.

As far as constructive criticism on the album:

    Kick In Tha Door
    Pledge of Allegiance
    Dooey Ooey
    Casey Carter Radio
    Filthy Remix

are very on point. I know that I’d like to hear more of stuff like that. Whoever is doin your beats too, props.
