Quarter Tre – The Takeover

When you want to accomplish great things you have to be willing to take initiative when others will not. Quarter Tre wants everyone to be able to associate their name with the city. In a region where rap music usually takes a back seat to other genres the city of Tacoma is often overshadowed by its big brother Seattle. The two cites which are no more than an average of 30 miles apart feature similarities but at the same time many differences.

Most notably the area code which is always highly touted when it comes to representation of your city. In comes Quarter Tre, the duo consisting of Monjae The Boy Boy & Layoe Mafioso. The two came together to form the group growing up in the same hood on the Eastside of Tacoma. “ Street stories come near natural in this area as crime has always been at a high rate due to the influx of gangs which leads to a various crimes.”

With a group named after the cities area code the title of their first album “The Takeover” is only fitting. “This is just the first album but we are trying to make Quarter Tre a movement. The first album was just us two but for the second album we added Makk Hussien as the third member. For the third album we will add another person, in the same sense of the Bully’s Wit Fullys or Thug Lordz albums.”

We are not just representing the 253 but for the whole Northwest. Be a part of the takeover whether it is by choice or by force.
